Returning and New Penguins
Are You on the Mailing List?
If you are on our mailing list as a past Penguin, you should receive an invitation each year to camp with us around January. If you have not seen this and still want to be contacted, check your junk / spam mail or reach out to camp@thelostpenguins.org.

Registration Form and Camp Dues
If you are interested in camping with us this year, please complete the 2026 Interest Questionnaire form, or mail us at camp@thelostpenguins.org, and let us know you plan to come in 2026.

Join us on Slack or Google Chat
Once you have paid your camp dues for the current season, you will receive an invitation to our Slack or Google workspace. That allows current campers to stay in touch about ongoing updates related to the camp.

Approved Camper Form and Volunteer Shifts
Once you have paid your camp dues for the current burn, you will complete the Approved Camper Form. This form will provide us with:
-
Emergency contact info
-
Dietary needs/preferences
-
Arrival & Departure dates
-
Lodging method and size (RV, tent, yurt, etc.), etc.

After that, you will receive an invitation to our current software system that manages our shift registrations. Make sure to pay, and sign up for shifts early to have the widest selection of shift options, dates, and times available.

We want every Penguin to enjoy the burn, and not have to spend too much time in camp. However, there are some camp requirements needed to allow the camp to function in the most awesome way.
Penguins are required to register for...
-
One cooking shift (approx. 3 hrs.)
-
One kitchen clean up shift (approx. 1.5 hrs.)
-
One front of house shift [snow cones, bar, cafe host] (approx. 3 hrs.), and
-
One shift of your choosing [Ice, LNT, etc.] (1.5 - 2 hrs.)

That is it! You are free to enjoy the burn before or after your volunteer shift.

NOTE -- Due to the size of our camp, there are three expectations outside of regular shifts, and that is every Penguin needs to participate in either:
-
Camp build
-
Reno shopping, or
-
Camp tear-down/bitter end

The alternative is working a couple of additional camp shifts.

As the ol' saying goes... it takes a village! Everyone's efforts produce AMAZING results and rewards!
